Over the years when I've been at the bottom of my priority list or not on it all (because life happens), I have found that taking a weekend for myself to de-stress and refocus on me is the perfect jump start to getting back on my self care daily practice, especially after a stressful time. Of course you don't have to do it just on the weekend - if two days during the week work best for you, that works too!

Each summer we all make a mental list of things we would like to do, but more often than not that list is forgotten and you arrive at the end of summer saying "I guess we'll do it next year". Or we don't know what to do that days just fly by and you haven't done anything exciting. To help you make the most of summer we are sharing the Resilientista Summer Bucket List. GlampingSummer is all about enjoying the great outdoors, especially when the warm weather really lasts about 90 days. Gather your gal pals and connect with nature. But, lovelies you don't have to rough it, Glamping Hub is a great resource for glamping options to fit your needs and budget.
Meal you could eat everyday?
Some sort of smoothie. I like to alternate between green and chocolate smoothies. I'm experimenting with different combos but smoothies are just so versatile. Favourite fitness activity? Other than sex? Dancing!! I get lost in the music ... What was your childhood dream job? I don't remember that far back but when I was 22 my dream was to own a fitness facility that had trainers, chiropractors, nutritionists, naturopaths ... a wide variety of natural health practitioners. What woman inspires you and why? Marlene Marco, founder of Heart of Networking. She is elegant, gracious, a major connector of people, always uplifting and supportive and a lot of fun. Always in the middle of things, the woman is everywhere. She's 64, a 3 or 4 time cancer survivor and just a dynamo! Your go to affirmation? I am strong, I am powerful, I am worthy, I am ENOUGH.
Everywhere you look social media, lifestyle blogs and magazines are saying 50 is the new 40. I too have repeated that same sentiment, and may have even included the quote 50 is the new 40 on an inspiration board. Perhaps, it was because I spent my forties healing and rehabbing from my accident - and was hoping to "recoup" that lost decade, in my fifties. But we all know that you can not get back time, once it's passed. And I have to be honest - having spent a year at 50 I no longer believe 50 is the new 40. 50 is the NEW 50!! and I'm embracing 50 and creating the next chapter with more zest for life than I ever imagined possible.
