Pasta and anything seafood is always a good idea in my book. However, many people shy away from it because they think it it's an expensive or complicated dish ... secret: it's neither!! I picked up a package of frozen raw shrimps and scallops from my local market for $9.99. And it's easy to create. This is a great meal to prepare when unexpected guests drop by and stay through meal time. Pasta is a pantry staple; because I bought the shrimp and scallops frozen - it can be kept in freezer; spices are staples in my kitchen; and though I used asparagus you can use any vegetable you have on hand. And while I used a rose wine, you can easily use a bubbly, or white wine.
